Inside every cracker
Film to followA 50g hand-poured scented candle in its own lidded tin, with 5 to 10 hours of burn time. Six different fragrances in every box, so each guest has their own.
34cm long, hand rolled and tied with ribbon in our Cheshire studio.
A crown, a joke and a snap in every one.
They must be the most beautiful crackers I have ever seen. Fabulous and almost too good to “crack”.
There were gasps of delight when they saw them.
The candles were much larger than expected and a lovely variety of Chase and Wonder scents.

We start rolling in January. Every cracker is rolled, filled and tied by hand in our Cheshire studio, in the traditional way, with a hand-poured candle tucked inside.

Each cracker contains a hand-poured scented candle in a different fragrance, so every guest at your table receives a unique gift to take home. The candles are worth £10 each and burn for 5 to 10 hours. Alongside the candle, you get the traditional snap, a festive paper crown and a joke. No plastic toys, no throwaway trinkets.
Each box contains 6 luxury Christmas crackers. The crackers measure 34cm in length and 6cm in diameter. The box itself is 41cm x 35cm x 7cm, elegantly packaged and ready to place straight on the table or give as a gift.
They are. Each candle comes in a lidded tin holding 50g of hand-poured wax, which is almost three times the size of a standard tea light. The tin measures 50mm wide by 35mm tall, so it is a proper little candle in its own right, not a token gesture. With a burn time of 5 to 10 hours, your guests can enjoy them well beyond Christmas Day.
Yes. We have worked hard to make them as sustainable as possible. Everything is plastic-free except for the ribbon, which contains polyester but can be reused or recycled. The card is recycled, the inks are vegetable-based, and the candles are made with vegan soy wax. No single-use plastic, no throwaway gifts, no unnecessary packaging.
We set out to make the finest Christmas crackers on the market, and we think you can feel the difference the moment you pick one up. Each cracker is hand-rolled in our Cheshire studio using traditional methods, with each box taking about an hour to make. Inside every one is a hand-poured scented candle worth £10, not a plastic toy. The card, the weight, the illustrations, the way the ribbon is tied, every detail has been considered. Once you have had these on your table, it is very hard to go back to anything else.
We offer several exclusive illustrated designs, and the collection changes slightly each year. Current designs include the Christmas Robin, Christmas Lady, Christmas Wreath, Christmas Jewels, and Christmas Baubles. We also make Golden Ivy place name crackers with a space for each guest's name. Browse the full range above to see what is available this season.
Yes. Our Golden Ivy place name crackers feature a dedicated space on each cracker for your guest's name. It doubles as a place setting and a cracker in one, which looks beautiful on the table and means one less thing to organise. You write the names yourself, so they arrive ready for you to personalise at home.
Yes, every year. We produce around 2,000 boxes each Christmas season, and once they are gone, they are gone for the year. Some designs sell out earlier than others. We always recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment, particularly if you need a specific design.
Yes. Simply enter the recipient's address at checkout and we will send them directly. No prices or invoices are included in the parcel, so it arrives as a gift with no awkward surprises.
Yes. We ship to the UK and the US. If your country is not listed at checkout, please contact us at info@chaseandwonder.com and we will see what we can do.
This depends on the airline. Most UK airlines do allow Christmas crackers in checked luggage but not in hand luggage, due to the snap mechanism inside. We would always recommend checking with your airline before you travel. If you are flying with crackers, keep them in their original packaging so it is clear what they are. A few customers each year take ours abroad for family Christmases and have not had problems, but the rules do vary by airline and country.
Everything is made in Britain. The crackers are hand-rolled and filled in our studio in Cheshire. The scented candles inside are hand-poured using vegan soy wax. The illustrations are our own original designs. From start to finish, these are a proudly British product.
As early as you can. We typically launch the new season's crackers in late summer and start fulfilling orders straight away. In previous years we have sold out well before December, and we now start production in January to keep up with demand. If you know you want them, do not wait.
Absolutely. If you need a larger quantity for a corporate dinner, office party or event, please contact us at info@chaseandwonder.com and we will do our best to help. For very large orders, early enquiry is essential as stock is limited.
They come in a smart printed brown card box (pictured on the product page) that looks great under the tree or on a shelf. It is not the gold foiled presentation box our candles arrive in, as its main job is to keep six hand-rolled crackers safe in transit, but it is a good looking box in its own right. The crackers themselves are the real showpiece.
