Beautiful scent, beautiful presentation, lovely
I no longer wish to celebrate Christmas as I have no family left, and don’t like the artificial and infantile aspects that have crept into modern day Christmases. So I was trying to think of a way to enjoy the dark season in some simple, more natural way. The fragrance from this candle was quite overpowering at first, but I light it only for a while and then let the scent linger. I cover it up when I’m not using it so the oils don’t escape too quickly. It really does the trick of reminding me of the aspects of Scandinavian Christmases in the past that I used to enjoy without making me feel I have to replay the whole scenario. It’s a really cosy scent. The tub is a bit smaller than I expected and the wicks seem to need cutting. I like this kind of aesthetics (I used to do collaging with vintage imagery) so will find use for the tub. I especially like the imagery on this one (less on some others). It was quite an investment but it’s the centre piece in my living room and fragrance is such a mood enhancer... it was my gift to myself. I’m very picky about scents but citrus and spice are my favourites overall. I’ve been looking for a scent oil or something like one I used to have back in Scandinavia, but only found this. I’m sure I will buy this one again.
We spent many months developing our candles, so that you'd have something that you'd treasure and keep forever. Read more about them below.
Once the candle has melted, you will be left with a beautiful fine China container that you can use over and over again.
Simply wash out any reminents of wax with hot, soapy water and you'll have a beautiful, hand made vessel that you could use to drink from, keep your pens tidy on your desk or use as a vase/plant pot like in the images below:
