Our ceramics are made for us by a small team of decorators in Stoke-on-Trent, who hand-decorate every piece and finish each one with 22 carat gold around the rim. Each ceramic is fired three times: once for the body, once to set the illustration into the glaze, once to fix the gold.
The wax is blended with our fragrance, before being hand-poured by our chandlers. Each piece is then packed with care in our Cheshire studio, before it leaves us for you to enjoy.

What does Refill for The Flower Lady Ceramic Candle smell like?
Refill for The Flower Lady Ceramic Candle. Imagine the scent of a bouquet you never want to put down. Cassis and green leaf open with a crisp, confident freshness before wild berries and galbanum deepen the mood. At its heart, red rose, moss and amber give the fragrance a warmth that lingers long after the moment has passed.
Which ceramic does this refill fit?
This refill fits any standard Chase and Wonder ceramic candle vessel (single-wick). It's designed as a drop-in replacement: once your original candle has burned down and the ceramic is clean, simply pop the refill in and burn as normal.
How long does the refill burn for, and how do I use it?
Each refill burns for up to 80 hours. Remove any remaining wax from your ceramic vessel using warm water, dry thoroughly, and place the refill inside. Light as you would any candle. Same care advice as a new ceramic candle: burn for 2 hours on first use, then 1 to 2 hour sessions, trim the wick to 3mm, never burn to the bottom.
What's the packaging like?
Refills come in greaseproof paper packaging, no outer gift box. Designed to keep the price down and the waste down. Recyclable where local kerbside collection accepts paper. The ceramic you already own is the gift.
How is this different from a new ceramic candle?
A refill is the wax-only replacement designed to fit a ceramic vessel you already own. New ceramic candles include the hand-decorated fine china vessel; refills don't. Refills are the more affordable, more sustainable option once you've got the ceramic.
Where is it made?
Refills are hand-poured in our Cheshire studio, using the same vegan-friendly soy wax and fragrance blend as the original candles. Plastic-free, paper-wrapped packaging. Proudly made in Britain.
Is it cruelty-free, and what's it made of?
Vegan-friendly soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks, fragrances not tested on animals. Refill packaging is recyclable; we ship refills in paper rather than gift boxes to reduce waste.
How long does delivery take, and is it free?
Free UK delivery on orders over £75. Standard UK delivery is 2 to 4 working days for £4.95. Next day UK delivery is £9.95. International shipping is calculated at checkout. Can I send it as a gift?
Refills are paper-wrapped rather than gift-boxed, so they're best as a thoughtful add-on rather than a standalone gift. For instance, alongside a new ceramic, or as a top-up for someone who already owns a Chase and Wonder candle or diffuser.
