— The Scent —
Evoking mahogany shelves full of leather-bound books and the flicker of warming candlelight.
Imagine a panelled study, warm and still. The scent of pomegranate and pink pepper opens the room with a spark of something rich, giving way to jasmine, clove and a thread of warm resin. Beneath it all, amber, cedarwood and patchouli settle into the background like the spine of a well-loved novel.

What does The Library Luxury Reed Diffuser Refill smell like?
The Library Luxury Reed Diffuser Refill.
Which diffuser bottle does this refill fit?
This refill fits any Chase and Wonder ceramic reed diffuser bottle. 200ml of hand-blended fragrance oil, designed as a drop-in replacement when your original diffuser has run dry.
Do I need new reeds with my refill?
We recommend it. Old reeds become saturated and less effective at carrying the new fragrance, so you'll get the cleanest scent throw with fresh ones. We sell packs of seven black reeds separately, designed for use with our diffusers.
How do I use the diffuser refill?
Empty any remaining oil from your ceramic bottle, give it a quick rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly. Pour in the new refill, insert your reeds (fresh ones recommended), and let them soak for 24 to 48 hours before reaching full strength. Flip the reeds once a week.
How long does the refill last?
A 200ml refill lasts approximately 3 to 6 months, depending on the room. Warmer rooms, larger spaces and more frequent reed flipping will shorten the life; cooler rooms will extend it.
What's the packaging like?
The refill bottle is plastic, fully recyclable, and designed to be lighter and lower-impact to ship than the ceramic. The ceramic bottle you already own stays with you forever. Refills are paper-wrapped rather than gift-boxed.
Where is it made?
Diffuser refills are hand-blended and bottled in our Cheshire studio, using the same fragrance oil as the original diffusers. Recyclable plastic bottle, paper outer packaging. Proudly made in Britain.
Is it cruelty-free, and what's it made of?
Hand-blended fragrance oils, not tested on animals. Refill packaging is recyclable; we ship refills in paper rather than gift boxes to reduce waste.
How long does delivery take, and is it free?
Free UK delivery on orders over £75. Standard UK delivery is 2 to 4 working days for £4.95. Next day UK delivery is £9.95. International shipping is calculated at checkout. Gift wrapping is available at checkout, every wrap done by hand. Easy 30 day returns, full refund or exchange. Anything not right? Let us know and we'll resolve it straight away.
Can I send it as a gift?
Refills are paper-wrapped rather than gift-boxed, so they're best as a thoughtful add-on rather than a standalone gift. For instance, alongside a new ceramic, or as a top-up for someone who already owns a Chase and Wonder candle or diffuser.
